Teachnology Philosophy Collage

This image was created for a graduate seminar on Teaching with Technology, where we were tasked with creating a “teachnology” (teaching with technology) philosophy in a visual format. The text reads, “teach multiliteracies.” This idea is reflected through the design of the image:

The background includes photographs of four writing spaces and illustrates that I believe in teaching the kinds of literacies that take place across these spaces: in classrooms, in offices, in civic space, and in community space.

The letters of the word “teach” are filled with writing across multiple modalities, and is meant to show how I believe in teaching writing across media: to read, analyze, and develop presentations, to work with technology, to create and shape identity both on and offline, to play, and to produce alphabetic textual writing.
